Dinah Washington, fue conocida también como "La reina del blues", "Queen D" o "Miss D", y es una de las principales voces femeninas de la música negra.
Mad About the Boy, es una canción de Jazz ligero compuesta por Noel Coward en 1932, para la revista musical “Words and Music”.
Desde entonces la canción ha sido versionada e interpretada por multitud de artistas, en las que destaca sin lugar a duda la versión de Dinah Washington.
La canción consiguió gran popularidad en la década de los 90, gracias al anuncio de Levi´s, Swimmer (1992), inspirado en la película, The Swimmer (1968). Con el, otras generaciones redescubrieron la versión, décadas después de ser grabada.
